First and foremost, let me apologize for our brief hiatus from easy peezy recipes. As some of you may know we moved into our very own kitchen and we cannot wait for you to stop by! So, our hands were tied up a bit.
With that being said, I've had some health stuff to take care of so I asked Carmel if she can whip up a nice and simple recipe for you using shrimp.
I was craving shrimp.
And after seeing the pictures, I am craving it even more! HEAL ALREADY! #fucklyme
The first day of Fall AND the first rain fall came to Los Angeles all in the same week – it’s almost too much to handle for sweater weather lovers. And what’s better in sweater weather than cozying up with a big bowl of warm, nourishing soup?! Nothing. Unless you add in some Netflix, a nice book, or some great company.
To celebrate the beginning of Fall, we’ve been working hard at Gracefully Fed on creating wholesome, satisfying soups to add to our menu!
It's the end of Summer but Watermelon is still in season and if we are being perfectly honest with our opinions, it's also still beach weather. Let's not crazy and stop buying fresh watermelon! Point is, if you are heading to the beach and need a quick snack, here's my favorite way to spruce up your standard watermelon.
Sundays are my market days and you can find everything you need for dinner at the market. This is a five ingredient recipe that you will not be mad at. And most times you will already have the ingredients in your fridge. My favorite all time lemon pasta was from Lil Frankies in New York City. Omg, it's so good. But now, I don't eat gluten and I live in LA so...I had to figure out how to recreate it for myself. Here's my improvised recipe that definitely hits the spot!
It seems apparent that I like anything in a bowl. I also like things that are finely diced or chopped. Love a chopped salad, love pico de gallo, love a rice bowl. So I made one for dinner and thought I'd share with you. Let me know if you would like to see it on the menu! It's super easy and takes less time than you think.
I'm not sure what it is about pizza but I'm not going to lie, I miss it soooo much. I'm a New Yorker, growing up pizza was dinner every Friday night. Who am I without pizza? I really can't answer that questions. Devastating. So, we try to reinvent. It's summer, who doesn't want something fresh, easy and takes less than 10 minutes?
We think of soup as comforting. When we're sick, it makes us feel better. When it's cold, it makes us warm. But for me the essential ingredient is hope.
